Former Enron lobbyist Pat Shortridge perfect for MN GOP Party Chair

by The Big E on December 21, 2011

Who better to head the Republican Party of Minnesota than former Enron lobbyist Pat Shortridge? He should easily understand how Tony Sutton has been cooking the books. Shortridge is alleged to be the lobbyist who tipped off the Bush Administration that Enron was about to collapse.

According to a former Enron Corp. executive under congressional investigation in relation to the company’s collapse last fall, an Enron lobbyist tipped off the Bush administration last August about the company’s impending financial problems.

Enron lobbyist Pat Shortridge met with White House economic advisor Robert McNally Aug. 15, the day after Enron president Jeff Skilling resigned, to alert the White House that Enron could face a financial meltdown that could possibly cripple the country’s energy markets, the former Enron executive told Salon this week.

Shortridge was Enron’s voice in the room when VP Dick Cheney brought all the energy companies together to form the Bush Administration’s energy policy.

Furthermore, Shortridge was the longtime political advisor to former House Majority Leader Dick Armey. Enron and Armey make Shortridge the perfect candidate to lead the Greed-Over-Principles party!

I wholeheartedly endorse Pat Shortridge!

Interestingly, Mr. Shortridge does not list Enron as a former employer on his LinkedIn profile.
